Dan Abnett's Desolane

This is Desolane, the life-ward from Dan Abnett's Traitor General of the Gaunt's Ghosts series. Even though Desolane is technically a villain, the life- ward appealed to me and it remains one of my favorite minor characters in the series. I always pictured Desolane's body as being very similar to that of the Kaminoans from Star Wars (except that tallness makes Desolane look like it has giraffe's legs X_X.) Tall, long-limbed, and androgynous. Well, okay , so I leaned a little toward the male side, I'll admit. Desolane always struck me as being male-ish...but not in the human sense.
I truly would have liked to taken an artistic license with the placement of Desolane's eyes, but I wanted to combine my mental image with that of the actual description in the book: "set far too low down in Desolane's face." It makes Desolane appear to have a bulging forehead.
One thing that differs from the way I pictured Desolane was its clothing. I kind of pictured it wearing a floor-length loincloth of sorts, but when I went back to read the description, there was no mention of any article of clothing like that. Simply a cloak and a tight body suit.

Coloring job kind of ruined the line art... I need to learn to use actually get photoshop.
